Hailing from Bengal, Arko Pravo Mukherjee is an Indian music composer, singer, songwriter, best known for his work in Bengali and Hindi film industry. Originally an MBBS, the singer started his career in Bengali music industry, where he released his first single Maa on the occasion of Mother's Day in 2013, after which he decided to make a career in music industry. He made his Bollywood debut as a music composer and lyricist in the 2012 film Jism 2, for which he earned a nomination for GIMA and Stardust Award for Best Debut Music Director. He has composed for films such as Hate Story 2, The Shaukeens, Tamanchey, and Yaariyan, for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director.
His other composing credits include films such as Kuch Kuch Locha Hai, Jazbaa, Bhaag Johnny, Tum Bin II, Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana, Dobaara: See Your Evil, Sweetiee Weds NRI and songs such as 'Saathi Rey' from Kapoor & Sons, 'Tera Sang Yaara' from Rustom, 'Dariya' from Baar Baar Dekho and 'Nazm Nazm' from Bareily Ki Barfi among others. He has composed singles such as ,'Mira','Mainu Ishq Da Lagya Rog','Salaam-e-Ishq', and 'Reeva', which made him the first Indian artist to enter the Billboard Dance Chart Top 50. His other projects include films such as Bareilly Ki Barfi, Hate Story 4, Baaghi 2 and a single titled ,'Aainda'.
