American actor and singer, Aulii Cravalho made her debut with the animated fantasy adventure film Moana in 2016.
EARLY LIFE
The Hawaiian actress was born on the 22nd of November, 2000 in Big Island, Hawaii, and is of Chinese, Irish, Portuguese, Puerto Rican, and Native Hawaiian descent. Living with her mother in Mililani, she attended the Kamehameha Schools, Kaplama, where she was part of the high school Glee Club as Soprano.
MOVIE CAREER
Cravalho, even as a child, always wanted to be an actor and/or singer, and dreamt of someday becoming a Disney princess. While still in freshman year of high school, she, along with hundreds of other girls, auditioned for the Disney movie Moana at the age of fourteen. Cravalho was rather unsure of being able to bag the role but, much to her surprise, she was chosen to voice for the titular role alongside Dwayne Johnson, Rachel House, Temuera Morrison, Jemaine Clement, Nicole Scherzinger, and Alan Tudyk.
