Cal Brunker is a Hollywood writer, storyboard artist, character designer, voice actor and director. He started off in the industry as a story artist on the 2008 movie, Horton Hears a Who! He continued to work as a storyboard artist on animated movies like Despicable Me (2010), Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012), Minions (2015), Ratchet & Clank (2016) and The Secret Life of Pets (2016). Brunker made his directorial debut with Escape from Planet Earth, a story he wrote in 2013. In 2017 he wrote and directed The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature. The cast includes Katherine Heigl, Will Arnett, Jackie Chan and Bobby Cannavale.
