Christopher Whitelaw Pine, better known as Chris Pine, is an American actor who is best remembered for his role in the reboot Star Trek series for which he earned a handful of awards and various nominations. His other notable works include The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, Rise of the Guardians, Into the Woods, and The Finest Hours.

- Pine was offered the lead role in the film adaptation of White Jazz but he declined the offer to be a part of the Star Trek reboot series.

- Pine was reportedly the first choice to play the title role in Green Lantern in 2011, however, the role finally ended up going to Ryan Reynolds.

- Before becoming an actor, Pine used to work at a bakery and a restaurant as a server. He also spent a brief period doing construction work for his landlord.
