David Thewlis

BIOGRAPHY

David Thewlis, born as David Wheeler, is an English film and theater actor. During his school days, David was the lead guitarist of a punk rock band named Door 66. David later got enrolled in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and graduated in 1984. He made his debut with the television show Only Fools and Horses. David was then seen in television shows like Valentine Park and A Bit to Do. He has also starred in films like Black Beauty (1994), DragonHeart (1996), Seven Years in Tibet (1997), The Big Lebowski (1998) and The Miracle Maker (2000). David then gained a lot of popularity for playing the role of Professor Lupin in the Harry Potter series. A few of his other notable works include Harry Potter and the Prisoners of Azkaban (2004), Basic Instinct 2 (2006), The Omen (2006), Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix (2007), The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (2008), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2012). David was also seen in War Horse (2011), RED 2 (2013), The Fifth Estate (2013 and The Theory of Everything (2015). He will be seen in Regression and Legend, both set for a 2015 release.
