Justin Prabhakaran

A popular music composer in the south Indian film industry, Justin Prabhakaran is noted for his works mainly in Tamil and Malayalam cinema. Born and raised in Madurai, Justin was interested in music from a very early age. His musical journey started with church music where he started playing keyboard and eventually became proficient in playing both guitar and keyboard.

Whilst he was studying B.Sc. Zoology at the American college, Madurai, during a film shoot there, he met cinematographer Gopinath and expressed his interest in music. And it was because of Gopinath's suggestion that he studied sound engineering from MGR Film and TV Institute, Chennai. It was during his time at the institute that Justin started working on his own compositions.

After completing his course, Justin later joined the renowned music composer, Harris Jayaraj as an associate and worked with him in the movie Thuppaki, before eventually making his debut as a composer with Pannaiyarum Padminiyum (2014). His other notable film credits include Orange Mittai (2015), Oru Naal Koothu (2016), and Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren (2018), a Tamil adventure comedy-drama directed by Arumuga Kumar.
