Kamal Addararachchi

BIOGRAPHY

An award-winning Sri Lankan film and teledrama actor, Kamal Addararachchi debuted with the 1981 film Sagarayak Meda, and then went on to feature in several movies like Saptha Kanya, Seethala Gini Kandu, Mille Soya, Rana Hansi, Sewwandi, Doni and Address Na, to name a few. His role of Sobana in the film Agnidahaya in 2002 won him the Sarasaviya Best Actor Award. He gained prominence among the television audiences when he hosted the first three seasons of a reality show titled Sirasa Superstar, and also the first season of Hiru Mega Stars. Along with being a talented actor and host, Kamal also proved himself to be a tremendous singer with the song Unmadawoo in the 1993 movie Saptha Kanya.
