Kim Basinger is an American actress and a former model. She made her debut with the drama film Hard Country in 1981. Her most memorable and successful roles were that of a bong girl in Never Say Never Again (1983) and of the photojournalist, Vicky Vale in Batman (1989). Basinger secured an Academy Award for her performance in the film, L.A Confidential (1977). Basinger is also an Animal rights activist and has rendered her support to many such organisations like PETA and Farm Sanctuary. Her most recent roles were in I Dreamed of Africa (2000), 8 Mile (2002), The Door in the Floor (2004) and Cellular (2004). She will be a part of the forthcoming film, The Nice Guys, lined up for a June, 2016 release.
