The man who epitomizes effortless elegance, M. Sasikumar is known to capture the heart and soul of the rural India in his films. The actor-director who made his debut with the low-budget film Subramaniapuram (2008), received wide critical acclaim for both his direction and acting. He went onto win the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Director as well was won a nomination at the Vijay Award for Best Supporting Actor. Following the huge success of his debut venture, Sasikumar subsequently starred in many low-budget films.
