Mary Elizabeth Winstead is an American actress and singer born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Before getting a start in Hollywood, Mary worked as a theatre artist. Mary gained recognition when she was cast for the character of Jessica Bennett in the television series Passions (1999).

Winstead's first major role in Hollywood was in Sky High (2005). Following this, she was cast as the lead in Final Destination 3 (2006), which was a major success at the box-office. Mary is best known for movies such as Live Free or Die Hard (2007), Grind House (2007), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), The Thing (2011), Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012), Kill the Messenger (2014), 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) and Gemini Man (2019).

Mary kicked-started her singing career in 2013 with Dan the Automator. They formed a band, 'Got A Girl' and released their first song, You and Me (2013).
