Nicole Kidman

Nicole Mary Kidman has been one of the rare Australian imports who made it really big in Hollywood. The Academy Award winning actress received critical acclaim and global recognition with her roles in movies like Dead Calm, Moulin Rouge!, The Hours, To Die For, Birth, Rabbit Hole, and more.


She has experienced huge successes at the box office, with more than 17 of her films crossing the $100 million mark in collections. Apart from acting, she has contributed to the entertainment industry as a singer through music videos, singles, and a few tribute songs.


Nicole Kidman is also the founder and owner of production company Blossom Films. The actress has been known for her marriage to heartthrob Tom Cruise, that lasted more than a decade.

As Nicole took birth in Hawaii, she was named as Hklani, inspired from a baby elephant that was born at the Honolulu zoo.

In 2006, Nicole was made a Companion of Order of Australia (AC) for her impeccable service to the performing arts as an acclaimed motion picture performer, to health care through contributions to improve medical treatment for women as well as children and advocacy for cancer research, to humanitarian causes in Australia and globally.
