A versatile artist, Raja Krishnamoorthy, better known by his screen name, Kitty is a critically acclaimed Indian director, screenwriter, and actor, who is noted for his work primarily in Tamil cinema and TV industry. An alumnus of the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Bombay, after completing his studies, Kitty, started working with Mukund Iron & Steel as a management trainee and worked as a Personnel Manager with ITC Welcome Group. The actor got his major breakthrough in the film industry when he was cast in the critically acclaimed film Nayakan (1987) directed by Mani Ratnam and starring Kamal Haasan.
Following a successful start to his career in acting, over the years, Kitty starred in more than 50 films mostly in supporting and villainous roles and has enjoyed a fair bit of success. He is best remembered for his impressive performances in Soora Samhaaram (1988), Thalapathi (1991), Baasha (1995), Arunachalam (1997), Baba (2002), Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010), Saithan (2016) and Aramm (2017). The talented actor has also directed two films in his career, his directorial ventures include Dasarathan (1993) and Krishna (1996). Apart from working in films, Kitty has also worked in many Tamil TV serials like Dharmayutham (2012) and Rajakumar (2013).
