Remo Girone

BIOGRAPHY

Remo Girone is a veteran Italian film and stage actor who began his acting career in the early 70s. He is perhaps best for the portrayal of the Mafia leader Tano Cariddi in TV mini-series La Piovra (The Octopus). Girone acting credits include movies like Breath of Life (1990), Heaven (2002), Round Trip (2004), Quijote (2006) and Fondi '91 (2013). He played an Italian-American mob boss in Ben Affleck's crime drama Live by Night (2016). The movie also Affleck in the lead role. He stars alongside Marton Csokas, Emilia Clarke and Caterina Murino in Eric D. Howells supernatural mystery thriller Voice from the Stone (2017). The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Silvio Raffo.
