A versatile artist, Ron Yuan is an American actor, voice artist, martial artist, action director, director and stunt choreographer who is best known for his roles in series like Sons of Anarchy, Prison Break, Golden Boy, and CSI: NY. The brother of actor Roger Yuan, Ron Yuan made his acting debut with Ring of Fire (1991), a documentary about volcanism in the Ring of Fire, which is located around the Pacific Rim. His maiden feature film was Street Crimes (1992), an action drama film written and directed by Stephen Cook. Some of his other notable film credits include Double Dragon (1994), Godzilla 2000 (1999), Shaolin Soccer (2001), Forbidden Warrior (2005), Chandani Chowk To China (2008), a Bollywood film, Fast and Furious (2009), Olympus Has Fallen (2013), and Birth of the Dragon, a fictional account of Bruce Lee. The movie directed by George Nolfi was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2016 and released in the theaters in August 2017.
Apart from films, Yuan has worked extensively in the TV industry and has a successful career on the small screen. Having made his debut in a TV series with The Pretender (1995) where he appeared in a singular episode, Yuan over the years, in his illustrious career has starred in more than 25 series. Some of the most popular credits include Family Law (2002), CSI: NY (2005), Prison Break (2008), Tron: Uprising (2012), Hawaii Five-O (2014), and Marco Polo (2016). The multitalented actor, Yuan has also starred in many video games and lent his voice to several video game characters.
