Rupert William Anthony Friend is an English actor, screenwriter, director and producer. Friend received his professional acting training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London. He made his acting debut as Billy Downs in the film The Libertine (2004). He won Satellite Awards for Outstanding New Talent (2005). He founded his own production company called Beat Pictures, and he made his first dictatorial debut with a short film in called Steve (2010), in addition to directing, he also wrote and produced the film, which was later included in the compilation Stars in Shorts (2012). He currently plays a major role as Peter Quinn in the multiple award winning political drama series Homeland (2012-present). His upcoming movies are Hitman: Agent 47 (2015) and To Write Love on Her Arms (2015).
