BIOGRAPHY

Santha Kumari is a veteran Indian actress who works in the Malayalam film industry. In a career spanning over four decades, she has appeared in over 250 films, mostly in supporting roles. Some of her most memorable performances have come in films like Chuvanna Vithukal (1977), Veendum Chila Veettukaryangal (1999), Manassinakkare (2003) and Kadha Thudarunnu (2010).In 1977, Santha Kumari won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress in the critically acclaimed socio-political film Chuvanna Vithukal. Other significant acting credits include Gandhinagar 2nd Street (1986), Thoovanathumbikal (1987), Kireedam (1989), Palunku (2006), ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi (2013) and the 2017 drama film Mannamkattayum Kariyilayum.
