BIOGRAPHY

Best known for her portrayal of Arohi in Mohit Suris 2013 romance Aashiqui 2, Shraddha Kapoor is a Bollywood actress and singer. Although she had made her debut in 2010 alongside Amitabh Bachchan in Teen Patti, Aashiqui 2, which also starred Aditya Roy Kapur, is considered to be her breakthrough. Following this, she also made her debut as a playback singer with the song Galliyan for the movie Ek Villain. Apart from being an actor, Shraddha has also launched her own fashion label IMARA and is a celebrity endorser for various leading brands.

- Shraddha was trained as a singer since her childhood as her maternal grandfather (the cousin of singer Lata Mangeshkar) and mother are classical singers.

- She was subsequently offered the lead female role in Aurangzeb as a part of her deal with Yash Raj Films. However, she signed on to Vishesh Films Aashiqui 2 instead, thereby canceling the three-film contract with Yash Raj Films.

- Shraddha is a certified scuba diver.
