BIOGRAPHY

Simon West is an English film director. He started off as a film editor with BBC and directed TV commercials, including many for Budweiser. West made his directorial debut with the film Con Air (1997), followed by The General's Daughter (1999). Soon after, he directed Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), starring Angelina Jolie. West was the executive producer of the film Black Hawk Down (2001) and the Fox show Keen Eddie (2003). Following this, he directed the thrillers When a Stranger Calls (2006) and The Mechanic (2011). West then worked on the action films Stolen (2012) and The Expendables 2 (2012) and now has the film Wild Card lined up.
