Sridevi

Born in 1963, Sridevi Kapoor is one of the most successful film actresses in Bollywood. She started her acting journey when she was just four with the film Thunaivan. Starting so young Sridevi went on to become one of the highest paid actresses of her time. After starring in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films, Sridevi got her break in Bollywood with Solva Sawan (1979). Sridevi is known for her versatile acting and has won a lot of awards for the same. Her 2017 movie Mom, directed by Ravi Udyawar, marks her 300th film and also the 50th year of her film career.

EARLY LIFE

Born to a combination of Tamil-Telugu parents Ayyapan and Rajeswari, Sridevi grew up with a sister and two step brothers. Her father was a Lawyer. As her acting career took off, Sridevi dropped out of school and focused on acting. Since her father didnt want her to lose out on academics, a tutor was appointed and Sridevi was home-schooled.

PERSONAL LIFE

Sridevi had a love affair with Mithun Chakraborty during the 1980s and there was the rumor of their secret marriage. However, the actors dismissed the rumors to be untrue. In the year 1996, she married Boney Kapoor, a popular Bollywood producer, and brother of actors Sanjay and Anil Kapoor. Sridevi and Boney have two daughters Jhanvi and Khushi, named after two popular characters from Boney Kapoors films.
