Thomas George Hopper, popularly known as Tom Hopper, is a British film and TV director. He started by making short films and his first professional short film, Painted Faces, which was broadcast in 1992. Later, he directed plays, TV commercials and also episodes of Quayside, Byker Grove and Cold Feet. Tom has been nominated for 10 Oscars (2010) for The King's Speech, which made it the film with the highest nominations that year. He also directed Les Miserables, which made him the nominee for Directors Guild of America Award and Red Dust was nominated for the BAFTA Award. Tom's upcoming directorial venture, The Danish Girl, is slated for a January 2016 release.
