Toni Collette

BIOGRAPHY

Toni Collette is an Actress. She is the daughter of Judy Collette, a customer-service representative and Bob Collette, a truck driver. She attended Blacktown High School where she was picked from among thousands of other candidates to play the lead role in a renowned Australian Musical. Encouraged by the early success, she left school at the age of 16 after which she began working with the Australian Theatre for Young People. In the late 1980s, Toni attended Sydney's National Institute of Dramatic Art and also acted in a stage production of Chekhov's Uncle Vanya. She made her feature film debut in the 1992 comedy, The Efficiency Expert.
