Udara Rathnayake is a Sinhalese actor who rose to fame by playing the lead roles in several teleseries. After having a successful television career, he shifted towards films. His most popular films are Porisadaya and Ira Handa Yata. He is also the founding member of Sri Lanka United. In 2014, he contested for the Western Provincial Council of Sri Lanka and was elected. His 2018 release includes Nela.
