An alumnus of the Trinity College London, Vedanth Bharadhwaj is an Indian vocalist and music composer who is best known for his songs and poems from the Bhakti movement. A qualified guitarist, Vedanth started training in Indian classical music when he was just four years old under the tutelage of Neyveli Santhanagopalan and he trained with the guru for more than 10. Later, while he was receiving training from Sri Narayana Iyengar at the Rishi Valley School, he abruptly stopped training in classical music as his fellow roommate and future collaborator, Ananth Menon introduced him to rock music and also taught him to play guitar. In 2007, Vedanth released his first album titled Mati Kahe, which mostly included songs from the renowned saints and poets of the Bhakti movement that were accompanied by guitar and his own twist to the tunes. The album was a success and this fueled his drive to release his second album, Suno Bhai in 2013. Vedanth's unique style of music, which blends Indian classical and folk music, has made him extremely popular and he has performed in several concerts all over the world. His notable work as a composer in a feature film includes Aruvi (2017), a Tamil drama directed by S.R. Prabhu.
