Here are few things you need to know before M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story is unveiled on the big screen this Friday!

The film is made on a whopping budget of 80 crores, out of which 40 crores is being paid to M.S Dhoni just to allow the film makers to make his biopic.

Dhoni's father, Pan Singh, played a very important role in his life and career. Veteran actor Anupam Kher will be seen portraying the character of Pan Singh in the film.

If rumours are to be believed, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and many other fellow cricketers will also be seen playing small parts in the film.

Kiara Advani will be seen playing Sakshi, Dhoni's wife in the film.

Disha Patani plays Dhoni's ex-girlfriend in the film. Sources suggest that the couple fell in love during 2003 before Dhoni got selected in India XI for the Zimbabwe-Pakistan- Kenya tour in 2003-2004.

The picture in the first look of the film where Sushant Singh Rajput is seen sitting at platform no. 8 at Kharagpur railway station is inspired by Dhoni when he was working as a railway ticket collector there. Sources also suggest that it depicts his moment of awakening when he realised that he is meant to do greater things.

The teaser promo of the film was released on March 19 th during ICC T20 World cup match between India and Pakistan.

Apparently, Akshay Kumar wanted to play Dhoni and he even approached Neeraj Pandey for this. But Pandey convinced Akshay that he is not suitable for this role. He has very little semblance to the cricketer.

The movie was slated to release in the first quarter of 2015 but the release date got postponed several times, before it was finally announced that the film will release on 29 th of September 2016.
