The inaugural Global Citizen Festival might just be the biggest event Mumbai has ever witnessed. Just with a few days to go till the event, several more big International and National celebrities are joining the cause. The Latest to join the star-studded line-up are International singer Demi Lovato, Freida Pinto, Vidya Balan and Vivek Oberoi. To be held on November 19th at MMRDA grounds, Mumbai, the festival will be headlined by British band Coldplay, which is making its debut performance in the country. Other celebrities who will be participating in the event are Jay Z, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, A.R. Rahman, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Kapoor, Arijit Singh, Dia Mirza, Shankar-Ehsaan- Loy, Shraddha Kapoor, Monali Thakur and cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar. The festival will be hosted by the superstar of the millenium, Amitabh Bachchan. It is speculated that the guest list includes the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi also.

Co-produced by communication and entertainment company Wizcraft, The Global Citizen on the campaign front, is working with an Indian organization, The Global Education Leadership Foundation, whose mission is to build a community of ethical, altruistic leaders who work together to improve the state of the world. In the first year, The Global Citizen India movement is focusing on three major issues integral to eradicating extreme poverty – quality education, gender equality, water conservation, sanitation and hygiene. And celebrities from all over the world are supporting this cause, making it a global event. The Global Education Leadership Foundation (tGELF) will host the festival in different cities in India every year for the next fifteen years as an annual accountability moment.

Ever since the announcement of Coldplay coming to India to perform in the Global Citizen Festival, fans have geared up for this mega event. And now, when just a few days are left for the concert, we can't contain our excitement. Fans are eagerly waiting for their favorite band to arrive and rock the city. With more and more celebrities from all over the world joining the festival, it's going to be one of the biggest events we have ever witnessed.
