With a lot of expectations riding on all the teams in this season of IPL, we cannot really complain when we hear the cricket fans speculating as to which team will rule the roost. Having begun with a smash, not to mention the additional two teams which are doing unexpectedly well, this cricketing sensation has managed to keep the interests and viewership alive, just like it does every season. To add on, the IPL predictions have begun and how! Kolkata Knight Riders, a team which has been on the top of the charts in the IPL points table since quite some time now, are seeking to climb higher & higher still which each match they play. Having not disappointed their loyal fans, the team has been utilizing their resources shrewdly and have boosted the quality play many times over. With the right amount of glamour attached, this team which has been aiming for the bigger play, has proved to be a ruthless competitor and are proud of it too. After roping in the very experienced Mark Boucher as a wicket keeping consultant, team KKR are all set to take their game to the best level. Will they stay at this coveted position which they have created for themselves? Will they clinch the IPL 2016 trophy? Although loosing does not seem to fit in their scheme of things right now, that is something that remains to be seen!

For a new team debuting in this IPL, Gujarat Lions seem to have seldom put a wrong foot forward since their inception. A play history as apt as their team name, the lions it seems were well prepared to roar; and yeah, they have roared big! With a number two position in the points table this IPL, the team has created waves of appreciation for not only their game, but also for their spirit too. Having crushed the seasoned players in some of the most important matches, the team has rightly proved that their slam bangs are nothing less than the best. Having found the right balance amongst the strengths of their players, this new team has amassed a fan following too soon and too quick. You can’t really help it though; six wins in the first seven fixtures is an all-time IPL record after all. With such a performance record, you won’t be incorrect if you take a chance at their win!

Riding third on the IPL points table are the very popular #DelliBoys. Delhi Daredevils as they call themselves, the fierce players have managed to revive their game in the matches to clinch the current position they hold. With a not-so- bad play record, the Delhi Daredevils have been smashed in quite a few games, but have had blazing victories in some of the others as well. Having taken up the uphill task of establishing their stance, their game has been noticed well and appreciated too. Will they win or not, we can’t really say; but can they win or not? Looks positive for sure! Having begun on a rough start and dipping interest levels, the all-time favorite team Mumbai Indians seem to have smartened from their loses, and having boosted their game manifold, are now riding on the fourth position in the IPL points table. Fraught about being true to their slogan of, ‘Duniya Hila Denge Hum’, this is one team which had truckloads of expectations riding on them even before they had started to play! Armed with fiery players and flaming emotions, their sudden move up on the IPL points table was not only expected but well applauded as well. With a more loyal following than any of the other teams, Mumbai Indians have a lot of prayers working for them too. If they continue with their recent quality of game, it won’t be incorrect to speculate their win. Will they or won’t they? For that, we’d rather wait for the games ahead!

The fifth very promising team in this season of IPL is Sunrisers Hyderabad. Having moved from the bottom half in the IPL points table, to being the 5 th best team today, this squad had come a long way! With plenty of muscle at the top, and the Indian favorite Yuvraj Singh in their squad, this team too looks very promising. Will they nail it? We hope so!
