Best known for playing the role of Hobie Doyle in Hail, Ceasar! Alden Ehrenreich is an American film and TV actor. After completing his schooling, Ehrenreich went to Stella Adler Studio of Acting at the New York University to pursue a graduate degree in acting but he never finished his degree. In 2009, Ehrenreich, along with his friend Zoe, co-founded 'The Collectin', which is a platform for actors, writer, producers, and directors to collaborate on films and theatre performances.
In 2007, Ehrenreich auditioned for the role of Bennie Tetrocini in the Tetro, which is directed by the veteran director Francis Ford Coppola and he won the role. The film released in 2009 and it generally received positive reviews and Ehrenreich's role was much appreciated. He collaborated with Coppola once again in 2011 for Twixt.
However, it was in 2013 when he rose to fame with a stellar performance in Beautiful Creatures, which won him a Teen Choice Award nomination for Best Movie Actor: Romance. His best performance, however, till date came in Hail, Ceasar! (2016). For his brilliant performance, he won several award nominations including two San Diego Film Critics Society Award for Best Supporting Actor and Best Breakthrough Artist, International Cinephile Society Award for Best Supporting Actor. His 2018 release includes Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), an American space western film directed by Ron Howard.
