The National Award-winning actor, and producer Andres Arturo Garcia Menendez, known by the screen name, Andy Garcia is an American actor and director born in Havana, Cuba. He was a skilled basketball player in school but quit after being diagnosed with mononucleosis. Garcia decided to take up acting classes during his college days and attended the Florida International University, Miami. He made his debut with the film Blue Skies Again (1983) but gained instant stardom with the 1987 blockbuster hit, The Untouchables. Some of his notable works include The Godfather Part III (1990), When a Man Loves a Woman (1994), Night Falls on Manhattan (1996), Oceans Eleven (2001) and its sequels- Ocean's Twelve (2004) and Ocean's Thirteen (2007), and City Island (2009). His 2017 release includes the sci-fi adventure film Passengers.
