Alokesh Lahiri, known popularly by his stage name Bappi Lahiri, is an Indian musician, film score composer, singer, record producer and actor. In a career spanning close to five decades, he has scored the music for over 500 films, mostly in Bollywood. Throughout the 1970's and 1980's, Lahiri was one among the most sought-after music directors in the country.
Notable among his discography as a film composer are Namak Halaal (1982), Sharaabi (1984), Meri Adalat (1984) and Sadhna (1993). For his work in Sharaabi, Bappi Lahiri won the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director in 1984. Notable film credits in recent times include Ragini MMS (2011), Main Aur Mr. Riight (2014), Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), Mafia Bigg Boss (2017) Baaghi 3 (2020).
