Brendan Gleeson is an Irish actor. He started his career with various television serials but his screen debut was in Braveheart (1995). Soon after, Brendan appeared in Michael Collins (1996), I Went Down (1997) and The General (1998) for which he received much critical acclaim. He starred in commercially successful films like Lake Placid (1999), Mission: Impossible II (2000), A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001) and 28 Days Later (2002). Later on, Brendan worked in Cold Mountain (2003), The Village (2004), Troy (2004) Six Shooter (2004) and Kingdom of Heaven (2005). He received international praise for his role as Alastor Mad-Eye Moody in the blockbuster films Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007). Brendan lent his voice for the character of Abbot Cellach in the film The Secret Kells (2009). He reprised his role as Mad-Eye Moody for the next instalment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows Part 1 (2010). Brendans most recent films were Safe House (2012), The Smurfs 2 (2013) and Edge of Tomorrow (2013). His recent releases were In The Heart of The Sea and Suffragette in 2015. He will make his appearance on the big screen again in the film Assassin's Creed, which will be out in theatres in December, 2016.
