Hewakokawela Chandani Seneviratne, better known by her screen name Chandani Seneviratne is an award-winning Sri Lankan actress who is a popular figure in the TV, film and theater industries. Having started her career as a theater artist, she made her debut in a feature with Sathi Puja in 1984 and instantly garnered wide appreciation and fame her brilliant acting abilities. The film won her the Presidential Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Seneviratne, in her illustrious acting career spanning more than three decades, has starred in more than 30 films and more than 25 TV series and along the way won several awards including Dubai International Film Award, a Sarasaviya Award, and a Hiru Golden Film Award. Some of her notable film credits include Sisila Gini Gani (1992), Sulanga (2005), Heart FM (2008), Vidhu (2010), Nikini Vassa (2013), Bora Diya Pokuna (2015) and A Level (2017), a teen film directed by Rohan Perera.
