The eldest son of the legendary actor Tom Hanks, Colin Hanks is an American actor, producer and director. He has several notable credits in television and film, including TV shows like Dexter (2006-2013) and Life in Pieces (2015-2019) and films like King Kong (2002), The House Bunny (2008) and the Jumanji film series. He has also directed a documentary and voiced the title character in Talking Tom and Friends, a kids' show. Hanks has claimed that being the son of a famous actor got his foot in the door, but also came with expectations that he couldn't always meet.
Hanks made his debut in the TV series Rosswell (1999-2002) and a few years later he appeared in his first movie, Orange County (2002), alongside Jack Black. His next big hit was the King Kong remake, which was followed by The Great Buck Howard (2008), where he shared the screen with his father. He is better known for his television work including shows like the Good Guys (2010) and Fargo (2014-Present), for which he also won a Critics' Choice Television Award and an Emmy nomination. In 2017 Hanks played the role of Alex Vreeke in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. He reprises the role in the film's sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level (2019).
