Best known for his comedy films Pineapple Express and The Sitter, David Gordon Green is an American filmmaker. He made his directorial debut with a drama film titled George Washington (2000). The film opened to critical acclaim but couldn't reach a larger section of audience due to its limited release. His next two films 'All the Real Girls' and 'Undertow' had the same fate. The success came to him when he switched to directing comedy films. The 2008 Pineapple Express was a huge game changer as it went on to earn more than thrice than its budget. He also directed a few episodes of popular HBO television series like Eastbound & Down and Vice Principals. His 2018 directorial projects include Halloween, which he has co-written along with Danny McBride.
