Gayesha Lakmali Perera is a Sri Lankan film and TV actress, model and a television host who rose to fame after being crowned Miss Sri Lanka 2006 at the countrys beauty pageant. She was crowned Miss Talent at the Miss Tourism Queen International 2009 pageant held in China. Gayesha was also a participant who made it to the last 15 at the Miss Asia Pacific World 2012 beauty contest and was awarded Miss Personality and Best National Costume mini titles. She made her acting debut in Rama's Bridge (2009). It was a documentary directed by Russian director Alexander Yuryevich Volkov. Gayesha played the role of Seetha in the movie. Her second film Flying Fish (2010) was an awards favorite and was screened at various film festivals. It was a critical hit. Gayesha followed it up with a light hearted romantic drama Bonikka (2015). She has also acted in various TV shows like Kindurangana (2008-2009), Bonda Meedum (2010-2011) and Pas Mal Pethi (2014). Gayesha has also served as the host for TV shows like Rasata Rasak (2009-2010), Rasa Meewitha (2010) and Netra (2010-2011).
