Kumara Vidugalage Dona Geetha Samanmalee Kumarasinghe, better known as Geetha Kumarasinghe is a famous Sri Lankan film actress, singer, dancer and politician. Her first movie to hit the silver screen was Neil Rupasinghe's Lassana Kella (1975). In a career spanning more than three decades, Geetha has won Sri Lankas best known film award, Sarasaviya Award for the Best Actress four times. In 1991 she won it for Palama Yata; in 1996 for Loku Duwa; in 2000 for Rajya Sevaya Pinisai and in 2004 for Ran Diya Dahara. Her other prominent works include Mohana Punnagai (1981), Under the Bridge (1991), Loku Duwa (1994), Anuragaye Ananthaya (2000) and Siri Daladagamanaya (2014).
