Award-winning actor Jackson Anthony is known for his work on the big as well as small screen. He started his acting career through stage performances, following which he stepped foot into the film as well as the television industries. Anthony was seen in a number of plays such as Marsad, Madura Jawanika, Loma Hansa, Dhawala Beeshana, Ath, Mora and Tharawo Igilethi, and his performance in these plays won him immense praise and recognition. He then entered the film industry, however, taking up small roles in his initial few years in the industry. Having started his career with movies like Guru Gedara, Chitti, Ayoma, and Loku Duwa, Anthony proved his acting prowess when he was seen in the movies Aswesuma, Agni Dahaya, Sooriya Arana, Mille Soya and Randiya Dahara. Although he made his debut in 1994 with the movie Julietge Bohumikawa, his next directorial venture came with the high-budget 2008 Sinhalese historical drama Aba. His performance in the 2015 comedy Address Na, which he also directed, Anthony won the Best Actor Award at the Derana Film Awards.
