K. V. Anand is an Indian cinematographer, film director and photo journalist. He statrted his career as a cinematographer and won a National Film Award for his work in the film Thenmavin Kombath (1994). He made his directorial debut with the film Kana Kandaen (2005) which was a big hit and the second highest-grossing Tamil film. Riding high on success, he then went on to direct films like Ayan (2009), for which he received a nomination for Filmfare, Ko (2011) and Maattrraan (2012).
