Kumara Thirimadura, considered as one of the most versatile actors in Sri Lankan cinema, made his movie debut in 1998 with Julietge Bhumikawa, post which he worked on several dramatic and comedic roles. His prominent roles were as that of a dumb servant of a hostel in the movie Angara Dangara, an adopted father in Parapura, a checkpoint officer in Ira Madiyama, and a security officer in Uththara. His 2017 venture includes the Sinhala children's film Ali Kathawa, under the direction of Sunil Ariyaratne. He has worked in several well-known stage plays like Balloth Ekka Be, Nari Burathi, Charithe Horu Aran and Deiyoth Danne Ne. His work as a playback singer includes the songs Lapalu Dalu, Paalu Gathiya, Malabe Kiyu Kisiveku and Man Boralle Ae Badulle. His most prominent television appearances started with the teledrama Akala Sandhya, followed by shows like Sabba Sakala Manaa, Raja Kaduwa, Adare Ahasa Tharam, Nattukkarayo, Sihina Puraya, and Dadakeli Arana.
