Lakshman Mendis is a Sri Lankan actor who appears primarily in supporting and character roles in films. He made his feature film debut in 1994 with Handana Kinkini, and has since appeared in movies like Indrakeelaya (2000), Anjalika (2006) and Mahindagamanaya (2011). For his performance in the 2006 romantic drama Anjalika, Lakshman received a Merit Award at the 31st Sarasaviya Awards. Other significant acting credits include Gamani (2011), Nikini Wessa (2013) and the 2017 drama film Swaroopa, which is based on the celebrated Franz Kafka novella The Metamorphosis.
