British-born American actor and martial artist Lewis Tan is best known for essaying the character of Zhou Cheng in the TV series Marvels Iron Fist (2017-). The son of a former British fashion model and a Chinese stunt coordinator, Tan started out in showbiz through minor roles and on occasions, as a stunt double. The action film The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) and the epic fantasy swashbuckler film Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) were some of the actor's earlier film credits as a stunt player.
Tan found greater success post-2010, courtesy of roles in TV shows like NCIS: Los Angeles, Rush Hour, Iron Fist and Into the Badlands; the last of which featured him in a recurring role as Gaius Chau. Other significant movie credits include Olympus Has Fallen (2013), The Hangover Part III (2013) and Den of Thieves (2018). In 2018, Tan played the mutant superhero Gaveedra-Seven aka Shatterstar in the superhero movie Deadpool 2, a role that brought him to the fore internationally. His other releases include Mortal Kombat (2021) and Wu Assassins: Fistful of Vengeance (2022).
