Lily Tomlin is an American actor and producer, known for her work in the film I Heart Huckabees. She began her career with the Off-Broadway in the 1960s and later made her small screen debut in The Mery Griffin Show. The actress went on to appear on several series, notably, Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In (1967-1973), Pryor's Place (1984), The Magic School Bus (1994-1997) and Homicide: Life on the Street (1996). In addition, she has appeared in more than 60 films and her notable works include Nashville (1975), Nine to Five (1980), The Incredible Shrinking Woman (1981), Short Cuts (1993), Tea with Mussolini (1999), I Heart Huckabees (2004), and A Prairie Home Companion (2006). The actress has received several nominations and five Primetime Emmys in her career span.
Tomlin has also been a part of popular TV series like The West Wing (2002-2006), 12 Miles of Bad Road (2008), Desperate Wives (2008-2009), NCIS (2011), and Grace and Frankie (2015-2019). Her 2018 releases include Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
