M. Muthaiah is an Indian film director and writer, who started his career with the 2013 action thriller movie Kutti Puli, starring M. Sasikumar and Lakshmi Menon in the lead roles. The movie went on to become a commercial hit at the box office. His next film Komban in 2015, starring Karthi and actress Lakshmi Menon, received only mixed reviews. His 2016 release Marudhu, which starred Vishal and Sri Divya in the lead roles, also went on to become a commercial success. His 2017 venture includes the Tamil family drama movie Kodiveeran, starring M. Sasikumar and Mahima Nambiar in the lead roles.
