Marshall Herskovitz is an American filmmaker, screenwriter and producer. He started out as a television screenwriter, working on shows like Family and Thirtysomething before making his feature film directorial debut with the 1993 drama Jack the Bear. He has since directed the biographical drama Dangerous Beauty (1998), and written the screenplay for films like The Last Samurai (2003) and Love & Other Drugs (2010). Besides these, Herskovitz has also produced acclaimed films like Traffic (2000) and Blood Diamond (2006). Other significant film credits as a writer include the 2016 fantasy adventure The Great Wall and the 2017 action thriller American Assassin.
