German actor Mathieu Carriere studied philosophy in Paris while pursuing his acting dream. Making his debut as a child actor at the age of 13 with the 1964 film Tonio Krger, Carriere played the lead role in the 1966 movie Young Trless. Mainly appearing in German movies, Carriere was seen in the Bollywood drama The Fakir of Venice, which released after a nine-year-delay in 2017 and featured Farhan Akhtar and Annu Kapoor in the lead.
