One of the most prolific actors in Indian cinema, Mithun Chakraborty aka Mithu Da is recognized as one of the best dancing-heroes in Bollywood. The recipient of three National Film Award for Best Actor, the immensely talented actor has also worked as a singer, producer and writer besides being a passionate social worker and a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament. The actor who started his career has a junior artist, over the years established himself as one of the biggest starts in Bollywood. He made his acting debut with the art house drama Mrigaya (1976) and won his maiden National Film Award. He is also remembered for his unique disco desi style dance that he popularized in the movie Disco Dancer (1982). In a career spanning over four decades, the veteran star has appeared in more than 350 films across Hindi, Bengali, Odia, Bhojpuri, Telugu and Punjabi films.
