Prabhu Deva began his career in the early 1990s by appearing as the lead actor in various commercially successful films before eventually moving to doing coming roles. After the 2000s when the actors popularity and the box value declined drastically, he ventured into direction and made his debut with the 2005 film Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana and soon found success. He then went on to direct several blockbuster films in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages such as Pokkiri (2007), Wanted (2009), Rowdy Rathore (2012) and Singh is Bling (2015).
