Well-known for her role in the Netflix series House of Cards (2013), Sakina Jaffrey is an American actress, born to Indian theatre actors. Making her debut with The Perfect Murder in 1988 with her mother Madhur Jaffrey, Jaffrey moved on to star in Masala in 1991, with her father Saeed Jaffrey. After doing films like The Indian In The Cupboard (1995), Daylight (1996), Chutney Popcorn (1999), and Cotton Mary (1999), Jaffrey branched out to television sitcoms, and did a guest role in the show Law and Order in 2000.
She featured in popular films and television shows like Sex and the City (2004), Heroes (2006), The Toe Tactic (2008), Breakaway (2011), The Mindy Project (2015), Claire In Motion (2016), Red Sparrow (2018) among several others, before she was a part of The Equalizer 2 (2018).
