A popular actress in the Tamil film industry, Sukanya is a multi-faceted artist, she is an actor, singer, and music composer. A trained Bharatnatyam dancer and voice actor, Sukanya has primarily worked in Tamil cinema apart from Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada films. The actress who made her debut on the silver screen with Pudhu Nellu Pudhu Naathu (1991), has appeared in several popular films like Chinna Mapillai (1993), Captain (1994), Thambi Durai (1997), Adi Thadi (2004), Azhagar Malai (2009), Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva (2017) and Inyathalam (2017) directed by Shankar-Suresh. Apart from films, the actress has also appeared in several TV series Anandham (2003-09), Swami Ayyappan (2006-07), Super Kudumbam (2012).
