Swaminathan is a popular Indian film actor and TV personality who primarily works in the Tamil cinema and Tamil TV shows. The actor rose to fame with his role in popular satiric series Lollu Sabha, which eventually earned him his screen name as Lollu Sabha Swaminathan. The series also earned him roles in films and he made his debut on the big screen with Naane Raja Naane Mandhiri in 1985. Some of his other popular films include Thanga Thamaraigal (1991), Aaru (2005), Padikathavan (2009), Boss Engira Bhaskaran (2010), Singam II (2013), Manithan (2016). His 2017 release includes Mupparimanam and Server Sundarum. He is associated with the 2017 horror movie Pottu directed by V.C. Vadivudaiyan, starring Namitha, Bharath and Manisha Yadav in the lead roles.
