Taraji P. Henson is an American actress. She made her film debut with the crime thriller Streetwise (1998), and has since appeared in supporting roles in numerous popular movies and television shows. Notable film credits include The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), Date Night (2010), The Karate Kid (2010) and Hidden Figures (2016). For her performance in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Henson was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Besides guest-starring in shows like ER, CSI and House MD, Henson has also starred in shows like Person of Interest and Empire, the latter of which won her a Critics Choice Television Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Drama. She has also published a best-selling memoir titled Around the Way Girl.
